Hello.. do i need to get a letter of explanation to nbi because on my nbi clearance said "no derogatory record" instead of no record on file? Please anyone had an experience regarding this your opinion and advice will help me a lot.. thank you so much

USCIS STAGE:

August 17, 2013 - I-130 sent

August 22, 2013 - noa1

November 22, 2013 - tranferred to TSC

December 16, 2013 - approved

December 19, 2013 - noa2 hardcopy

January 09, 2014 - shipped to NVC

NVC STAGE:

January 17, 2014 - case received

February 24, 2014 - case number received

February 25, 2014 - IIN and BIN received

March 01, 2014 - ds 261 completed

March 05, 2014 - aos invoice and paid (in process)

March 07, 2014 - aos shows paid

March 22, 2014 - iv bill paid (in process)

March 25, 2014 - iv bill shows paid

March 25, 2014 - ds260 completed

March 26,2014 - iv package send to nvc

March 31, 2014 - iv package arrived at NVC 12:05pm (Gary S. Peters - signatory)

Nope, you are good! Acceptable remarks for NBI clearance are: "No record on file" or "No derogatory record." :)

I was looking at the NBI site for the Philippines, does she first fill it out on line and the go to the office in Manila? She lives in that area. That is what it looked like to me but I wanted to check with someone who did it before I tell her.

Yes she can fill out the form online.

The site says either to print or go upstairs, if you do not have a printer. So I was thinking she needs to either copy the number down or go to a place that has a printer to do so.

Just to make sure..because when i went to nbi in san fernando pampanga one of the guy he just copy the confirmation no.and then the nbi worker told him he need to provide the printed form..

I dont know in manila if they allow only the confirmation no.

The site there says they do, but to be safe I think it may be easier to find a shop that would print it out for her. I don't want her to go and have any problems!

Better to have it printed to make the process goes faster. Make sure the QR code is printed clearly.

There are satellite offices all over and she can go to any one of those if she doesn't want to go to the head office. There will be counters there for online applications.

There doesn't appear in the list of NBI offices that there is one in VC but here is the list. Maybe there is a city a short bus ride from her home.
