NVC page says "case terminated"!

Hi Saylin!

We got our NOA 2 for petition I-130 on Dec 13th. 2013, and were told that our case was transferred on Jan 07th, 2014, & NVC received our case on Jan 13th, 2014. Since then we have been calling and getting the same response. They received our case on Jan 13th. Now our case is in the building, but they haven't updated on their system, and it takes about 10-20 BUSINESS DAYS for NVC to respond back. Now officially is has been more than 20 days.

What's ur take on that? What should we be doing?

Keep in mind, NVC has closed quite a few times this year due to the weather. There have also been holidays. Because of those two things, they're in a backlog, so it's taking longer than usual to complete things. Just keep calling once a day and you should soon have a case number.

Completely normal. Click on the last 2 links in my signature and do some reading. Then join that thread. Many people are still waiting for case numbers to be assigned. Operators are typically saying 20-30 business days for this.

You could have gotten that at the same time. NVC is open for one more hour, so you can call back. Have your wife give over both email addresses as well, if she didn't.

I was wondering if you could add me to the spreadsheet? Nvc revived my case Feb 12th, case number assigned march 21st. I just completed my choice of agent form then I got the termination message, almost had a heart attack, thought I'd done something wrong and messed it all up haha. Thank you for all your advice on your links....its been such a life saver
