Hello, this is my first time posting on this but I constantly read the topics posted. I just received my NOA2 by email on Feb. 14. What is the next step? Does anyone know how the embassy in Romania is? What other fees is needed to be paid? How long does it take for the petition to be received by the embassy? Also I am going there in May hoping to be with him at the interview. Does he schedule his own interview day or is it given? Any helpful tips or advice is much appreciated. Thank you

You can look at my timeline to see how long things took. We could have had the interview a week earlier but I couldn't get to Romania then. She scheduled the interview. I took a little patience to get it though so keep that in mind. After noa2 it goes to the embassy. That took about a week. About A week after my fiance got her packet from the embassy. The packet has all the instructions. if you pm me your email I can email you the instructions we got to get a head start.

Before going for your interview be sure to read the Embassy reviews for Bucharest. I went with my husband for his interview and it went almost exactly how people described it would. They asked most of the same questions that had been stated in their reviews, so we felt well prepared. I found the workers at the embassy to be very professional and friendly to us.

Filing out DS-160 tomorrow for fiancé along with him and than having him log in and sign the DS-160 and have him print it out for the confirmation page. Is that fine? Also the Romania embassy just needs the confirmation page to be emailed to them. Find it a lot easier if I do it for him and email the embassy myself with all that information. Would it matter if the petitioner send the email with the confirmation of DS-160 instead of beneficiary?

It probably doesnt matter who sends the email as long as its filled out completely and you bring the confirmation page.
