Hi y'all!

I have my AOS interview on Thursday, and I had one quick question regarding the Affidavit of Support. Since the fiscal year has changed since we sent it in, do we need to update it? To wit, when we sent it, we used my husband's reported income for 2004 -- should we now fill it in anew, to reflect his reported income for 2005? And, if we do need to update it, it is OK to just fill it in and sign it in front of the immigration officer, should they ask for it? I remember reading on VJ that signing in front of an immigration officer is equivalent to having it notarized.

Thanks a bunch!

US Citizen since August 09.

Actually, I found out the answer to my second question: http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-864.htm

Yes, it can be signed in front of an immigration officer.

You don't need to bring a new affidavit of support, if your financial circumstances have not changed. Just bring the current employment letter for the USC (if still at the same job). I brought copies of 2005 W2s, which the officer took. I also had an employment letter for myself, which the officer also kept.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)
