Two forms of Photo ID for DEERS?

I recently retired and I am working on the K-1 Visa for my fiancée as well as K-2 for my future step children.

my question the that last time I got a military ID card I was required to have 2 photo IDs. Is this the same for dependents? She will have her passport as well as her 10 year old daughter, but neither of them have any other legal photo ID.

She will also have SSN and birth certificate as well as our marriage certificate.

Anyone else have this issue come up?

Yes, also for a dependent ID it is required to have two forms of ID. I gave them my license drive and my passport and a kid in line before me gave them their old dependent ID and the school bus ID since he didn't have a passport.

SSN and marriage license are not ID that psd would consider.

Well this wont work as she does not have two forms of Photo ID.

Anyone else have this issue?

I have read about people using Passport and Marriage Certificate as well as SSN. I am just trying to clarify if anyone else has had issues with the 2 Photo ID requirements.

Thanks for your experience, anyone else have a different one?

I am a dependent.

I wasn't asked for two photo IDs, just two forms of ID and one had to be photo so I used my passport and birth certificate. No SSN as I didn't have one at the time

Another question for anyone who has done a K-2 in conjunction with the K-1... Visa will they allow me to input the children into DEERS before they have a SSN? I need them in DEERS in order for Tricare. Will they assign the same automated number I have read about in these forums?

I was assigned into deers before I had a ssn

I don't know how they worked around this but when I saw my paperwork when I was in hospital they just used my husband's ssn. Weird

I just went in on Monday to get my wife's ID card made and the DEERS requirements are as follows:

Photo ID (passport or stateside ID)

SSN (The card)

Birth Certificate (Certified copy or original)

Marriage Certificate

They will not accept anything else except for the above. For kids they need:

Passport

SSN (The card)

Birth Certificate

Good luck!

I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

Kids wont have a SSN for awhile so will have to get the generic number they assign thru DEERS and then renew it every 6 months or work on AOS ASAP.
