Hi Vjers,

My fiance got our NOA2 hard copy on 3rd February and didn't get any case number yet (California Service Center). Anyone has experience on getting case number from CSC?how long it takes, barely?We had call the NVC and they said still have to wait :s. My fiance should have academy on 1st July so hopefully we will get approve before the date.

Be patient !!!

They would tell you it's takes 4-8 weeks !!

As I told you,CSC is very well-known about how slowest they are.Last time I called them,they said "It's overdue"

I was approved on 15 November 2013 and the NVC just recently received my petition a few days ago after I asked my lawyer to made requested service.

Be strong and try to call to find out the NVC in other day !!!

I'm from tsc, got my noa2 Feb 5 and my petition was sent to nvc on the 13th. Hoping to have the case number this week.

I don't think there's a "standard" waiting time. Our case got to the NVC on February 7th (Friday), approx. 12 days after the notification (USCIS webpage) of NOA2 I called them on Monday the 10th (I didn't know they had received it, I was just checking) and they already gave me my case number. After that I checked on the CEAC webpage and on Wednesday the 12th the status changed to "in transit". I called to verify and I was told that it had actually been sent to my embassy on Tuesday the 11th. So it was only at the NVC for 5 days, including a weekend.

On Friday the 14th status changed to "ready". I tried to call the embassy this morning to check whether it's there or not but it's closed. It's President's Day or something like that so it's a holiday for them. I'll try again tomorrow!

Hopefully your case and everyone else's will move forward fast too!

NVC Received: Feb 07th 2014 (verified through phone call; no notification received)
NVC Left: Feb 11th 2014 (CEAC status changed to "in transit"; called NVC to verify)
Processed at Consulate: Feb 20th 2014 (I sent the embassy an e-mail on Feb 18th and they replied Feb 21st saying that they had received my case the day before)
Package 3 received: Feb 21st 2014 (sent by embassy through e-mail attachment; it was a Word document; they usually send it through regular mail)
Package 3 sent: Feb 24th 2014 (received at the consulate Feb 25th; I know this because I sent a certified letter with online tracking)
Interview date: April 30th 2014 (notification received by e-mail on March 21st; hard copy received on March 26th)

We got our NOA2 in February from the CSC and it took about a week and a half before the NVC received it. When I called last week they finally gave me a case number. Now I'm trying to track it and keep getting error messages on their website. lol

As others on this website mentioned I would continue to call them daily until they have assigned you your case number. Just make sure you have your USCIS receipt number on hand when you call them because they will ask for it to check to see if you have a case number with them or not.

Yeah..my friend also told me that CSC is slower than TSC.hopefully we get the case number before march so he can bring any other requirements when he visit me on march :)
