Here is a translation of the interview:

Facebook may be the No. 1 dating site in the developing world countries, according to recent research, however, in the case of Kevin from Georgia, USA and Anna from Zografou, it was the insistent matchmaking algorithm of okcupid.com, which was responsible for a robust bond, in the era of online dating. I asked Anna, whose Visa for her permanent move in America as a U.S. citizen fiancée, was delivered yesterday , on Valentine's Day, before packaging her suitcases , to describe to us the history that will take her off for a new life close to her beloved.

- Anna tell me in two words how did this transatlantic love start? - September 2012 . With a divorce "running” and the loneliness of the summer, my good friend H. refers to a dating site. She called it www.okcupid.com. Reluctantly, a little out of curiosity, a little out of hope, I decided to build my profile. A litany of personal data, a carefully screened photo, answers a hundred questions about my interests and beliefs, and here we go!

- And how did you get evolved with Kevin? - Surfing the profiles of other users, I was focusing on residents of Greece and European countries, but for some reason the site insisted on matching me with an American named Kevin, a year older than me, resident of Georgia, charming and with a huge smile on his face! I did not pay attention, "very far" I thought ... In my next connection to the site, the same again! 93% match! One, two, three, five times, I finally decided to sent him a message. "This thing says we are a 93% match. What a shame that you are on the other side of the world!" Answer: “I’m not on the other side of the world. You are!" followed by smiley emoticon! So, somehow shyly and timidly, start our communication, at first on a purely friendly level, as then distance seemed to be prohibitive.

- And then? - Then we exchanged Skype names, we chatted for hours, whole nights, we video called, phone called and the feelings mutated, became alive and made us look forward to the next contact.

- Describe to me, how did you first meet him? - It was now inevitable. We had to meet. Originally, the plan was to visit him in March ‘13, but as time went on, March seemed so very distant. So, I decided to be there for his birthday, which is on January the 23rd. I arrived on 01/21/13 and I will never forget in my life those first moments of our meeting in person. It was magical! It was like I was away on a trip and I finally came back home! He was told to wait in the wrong place, so when I got out of the control, I didn’t see him in the waiting room. I went outside, to see if he was there. Nothing. I called him. He asked me where I was, I explained to him and he replied he had seen me and he was coming towards me. I first saw his eyes between the two sliding glass doors of the airport’s exit. He hugged me, kissed me, took me by the hand and we left! This was it ... the rest is history! We lived together for one and half months that were like a dream and, from the moment I left, one thought occupied both of our minds... when would I be going back!

- And how did the story go on? – In July we submitted our papers for my fiancée visa, since on the 22nd of February '13 he proposed to me. Yesterday, February the 14th (sign!), I got the visa in my hands! I’m flying out on the 20th. Flying....literally, because figuratively I have been flying for 16 months now!

- What are your dreams from now on? We dream of a peaceful and happy life, and we are confident that this is the way it will be! You can never cross the ocean, unless you have the courage to lose site of the shore!

- ... And the moral of your cyber love story? No man (or ocean) should sunder those who were brought together by an... algorithm!
