Not sure if this is right place - but wondering if you guys can share any experience on this - once all is finished and a visa is in hand - i understand a SSN has to be issued - however i am hoping to get married as soon as possible ( i need to give a months notice at workand as we plan a small marriage ceremony i hope my fiance will be able to facilitate civil ceremony quite soon after arrival)...it seems according to the guide that a SSN has to be applied for then after marraige the details have to be changed - wondered if all goes to plan i can simply apply for a ssn after marriage?

All help would be apprecaited

Happy New Year

From a practical point of view apply on the back or your K1 status, do not mention you are married and you will be most likely be OK.
