Where are you located if you don't mind me asking? This has been the worst winter in over 20 years for us. Heard on TV they burned through the winter salt budget the first week we got hit with the polar vortex.

If you're grilling, I'll bring the drinks. Don't drink, but I'll supply some high grade pepsi and sprite!

I'm up in the North-East, recovering from yet another 24" of snow over the past 2 days.

We have towns round here that have run out of salt and are praying hard that we get some relief for a while. Mind you, our DB of a governor swears that everything is fine and there's plenty around. Tuesday's not looking good, though.

Not much of a drinker here, either. Age has taken its toll on my alcohol tolerance.

My father owned 5 cab licenses back the 70's. It is a tough business. The drivers I remember for the most part would be unemployable by most any other businesses.

I had an uncle that drove a cab in Pittsburgh back in the 60's and 70's. He was a big football fan and over the years he gave a ride to several of the Steelers during their dominant reign. Can you imagine any of today's stars taking a cab? Things have changed.

I remember him talking about giving rides to Bradshaw, Franco Harris, and Mean Joe Greene to name a few. He sent me a few autographed photos back in the day. He went to all 4 Steeler Super Bowls in the 70's.

Things have changed. In the 60's a lot of those guys had to have jobs in the off season. We lived in Buffalo in the 70's and my dad told me he bought car insurance from Don Croft who played for the Bills.
