Hi All, I just recently sent in my I-129F to the Texas Lockbox on February 3rd. I sent in the G-1145 along with the packet, it has almost been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything at all! It seems that everyone at least hears something in a week. Just getting a bit nervous that I don't know if they even got it! My check hasn't been cashed either. Anyone know how long the waiting period is right now? I hate feeling like this!:( And I didn't notice any February filers forums so I figured I would start a new one! My name is Nikki and my Fiancé Ben is from the UK. We have been together for almost 3 years! We are so excited to be starting the process and hoping it will be a smooth one! We are both new to this and any input or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

Texas has gotten slammed with bad weather the past two weeks. That can explain the delay. Hopefully they catch up soon. I sent ours on 02/10. I know it was delivered because it had a tracking number. I had seen someone else that sent her on 02/07 and it arrived 02/10 via FedEx. She also got her NOA1, via email or text (sorry dont recall which). Give it some more time, hopefully you will here something soon.

Unfortunately it takes a long time, and requires a lot of patience but in the end will all be worth it.

Best of luck!

Eva

Thanks! Yeah I'm hoping I'll be hearing something really soon. I'm just getting anxious! Lol! And seeing that some people that sent theirs in after I did and hearing back already makes me even more nervous that I did something wrong or it got lost or something! :( Thanks for the replies!

What will make you even more nervous is when people that sent their petition in after yours are getting their NOA2 way before you do.

Its awesome if you are the one getting the NOA2 but frustrating sometimes when you have to wait a long time to get to that point.

I think I have seen some get their NOA2 in as soon as 7 days (yes, that is lightspeed) while there are actually some that sent theirs in early August and still waiting for their NOA2

Almost no rhyme or reason as to why these things happen except for the common line by USCIS "each case is individual and wait 5 months before inquiring"

Overall, if you want it bad enough, stay the course and find something to do to pass the time, especially if its a long time.
