How long is a foreign police certificate valid? My husband is Brazilian and he lived in Spain for 6 years so we will need his spanish police certificate.....but we don´t want to get it too soon and have it expire before the interview....also he has a criminal record in Spain for driving without a license....from what I can see this is not a serious crime and therefore shouldn´t effect his ability to get a visa, but I am wondering if we will need more information?

Good luck getting the certificate!!!! We got one through the embassy. and it was slow, but didn´t give us any problems :)

24/04/2015 Interview date RDJ consulate

24/04/2015 APPROVED pending arrival of medical exam

04/05/2015 Case "issued" on CEAC site

05/05/2015 Visa/passport in the mail

07/05/2015 Visa in hand!!!!

Traffic breaking is not a big crime for this case if he fulfilled the requirement after law abide and faced court...

Police certificate is valid for 6 month depends upon countries.....

Is your husband still a resident of spain? You guys were able to get it from the Spanish embassy in Brazil?

My husband isn´t a spanish resident anymore, but he was before....

yes....they gave us the information and we had to have a legal representative do the process that the Ministerio de Justicia explains on their site!

September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
