Hi, All.

Happy Valentine's Day.

We received our NOA2 for our I-130 and I-129F on Monday, February 10. But yesterday, the I-129F was moved from post-decision activity to initial review due a change in alien registration number. I thought everyone's alien registration numbers were changing before the NOA2/approval. What does a change in the number after mean? Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone else at TSC?

The USCIS 800 number is only giving access to tier-1 officers. Apparently one of the tier-2 call banks is closed today.

Any insight would be super appreciated.

Your 129f will not be processed. They will join the two together and the 129 will be canceled. Look at your 129 NOA2 however because thats the only document it seems that references your Alien registration #...which is a permanent # that you will need going forward through the rest of the paperwork. We filed both as well...I called USCIS before we went to the NVC...they confirmed that our 129 would be canceld. We're in NVC processing now and have received nothing further on the 129....sondont worry about that one...just keepall of those documents together.

Thanks, JA_Martinez!

Just to clarify, we got texts and emails that our 129F and 130 were approved and the approvals were mailed on Monday. The weather in Atlanta has been less than ideal...so I haven't seen the hard copy yet. But if I understand correctly, if we get a hard copy NOA2 we are good to go on to the NVC.

You will get NOA's for both of them (they have to do that because you filed both of them). You will get the approvals in the mail I'm sure as soon as the weather permits. We were aproved on 12/7 by txt & email, the 797's came about a week or so later. It can take up to 30 days for your case to get to the NVC so hang tight.

As soon as they get it it starts to move pretty quick. We got two emails together.....the acknowledgement letter from the NVC that they have the case which lists your case #, invoice ID and beneficiary ID. That same notice also requests that you complete the DS-261 "Choice of Agent" online form (which I did for my husband). The 2nd email was thw 864 fee invoice.

Within a week of the 864 fees being processed, they will send you the invoice for the Ds-260 fee. Once thats processed, the website will allow you to then complete the ds-260 on line.

By the time you get to that point you are expected to submit your 864 documents and all of your Civil documents. You can complete ds-260 application online and submit it but they do not considernit complete to process until they receive the documentation.

Pay very close attention to the printing options in the online site...that is where you have to go to get the cover sheet that MUST be attached to th front of your bundle of documents.

In our case, we've done all the online work and I've sent in our 864 documents but my husband is a Philippine National living in Japan; he's just gotten police clearances back so we still have to send in our Civil documents. I called the NVC this past Monday, they told.me they got the 864 documents but they cam finish processing our visa application until they have all required documents. They also told me it can take UP TO 30 days for all verification to be completed.

Otherwise, NVC processing goes pretty quickly if you're prepared and they have no issues.

Hope this helps!! Good luck!!
