It's funny how someone can have no opinion on gun control, and then someone comes along and starts posting and makes you think it might be a good idea.

It means one has little on which to base one's opinion.

A person who reads a few one liners and changes their opinion never really had one anyway. Who cares? Better they they join the opposing side. We do not need uninformed people or quitters defending rights.

When they post how they have 18 firearms within reach at all times, and then post ultra detailed descriptions of each one. Makes you wonder.

I have many times more than 18 firearms. That wouldn't even cover variations of the M1894 Winchester...and I collect Winchesters, and I am not even a big fan of the M1894. So what?

If I use a firearm to commit a crime ####### difference does it make how many I left at home? Assinine minutia.

I'm not advocating having the govt. take away your guns, but would your life really be that much different without them?

Fortunately I do not have to answer that question and you have no business asking it. Most particularly the Gov't has no business asking it...as has been ruled in the decision on which this topic is based.

It is a RIGHT, it is not a privilege, it is not for duck hunting, it is not for target shooting and it is not subject to opinion. RIGHTS protect things which are NOT popular. No one has to explain why they excerise their rights ...or not.

Hey Gary, we have a thread that talks about CC in Illinois, we'd love to have your opinion there.

IL has concealed carry. CA and HI will also...very soon.

The rest is nonsense. Did you read the rulings? It does not matter if it affects crime...up OR down. It is a RIGHT. That is not my opinion, it is the opinion of the 7th Circuit Court. Read the ruling, lots of links. Then...be happy!

Just as Rosa Parks did not have to explain her reason to sit in THAT seat, we do not have to explain a reason to own guns or carry them concealed outside our homes. Rosa Parks did not have to prove it would reduce crime or not, it was her RIGHT. Just as you would not accept being made to sit in the back of the bus if I showed statistics that it reduced crime. Why should you? You would not accept registering your religion or explaining why you "need" to be Muslim. Why would you? No matter how many Muslims commit acts of terror, your right to freedom of religion is safe

Thank Allah, our rights are not subject to statistics and popularity polls.

The court decisions are all going OUR way, I am going to stick with them and not try to argue facetious BS with people whose opinions do not matter anyway.

Funny I know lots of countries that have free speech and it seems to work fine without having to arm the entire population. Maybe the U.S. is different since a larger percentage of the U.S. population are law breakers.

I consider to moderation here pretty lenient compared to some other boards I post on. There's a Thai Visa board I visit quite a bit. Here's a couple of their rules from the TOS:

That's because this site is privately owned and therefore your speech is only as free as the TOS put into place by the site admin.

But trolls don't. They are forced to hide...
