The bathroom argument is kind of the lowest common denominator route. Same thing was said about admitting women into male dominated institutions like military schools or country clubs. Oh knowz we have to add bathrooms! Anyway from a financial standpoint, if I was a business owner I would make accommodations for others because it would attract more business and increase my bottom line. What exactly constitutes as "bending backwards" in your opinion? Passing legislation to enforce non-discrimination? This ain't India, we don't have separate facilities for Hindus and Muslims. To me intolerance is intolerance - insert your own defining word <sexual identity, religion, race, ethnicity, gender>.

Now admittedly I have never heard of 99% of those gender definitions but who am I to criticize what someone else wants to be called or identified as. I am happy our society is moving towards one of tolerance, when in the history of the world has that ever been a bad thing? Being tolerant does not mean you have to accept someone elses lifestyle or who they are, it's recognizing that every person on this planet has the right to be treated like a human being.

You know what this forum reminds me of? A jacked up Thanksgiving dinner and that "crazy" uncle says something so offensive that everyone else is like OH pass the potatoes...damn these potatoes are so good lets change the topic because this chit is getting too serious for our little heads to handle......anyway back to your pizza discussion......

...No, that's not how it works. Gay rights, gender identity, and sexuality are all very different things. Gay rights isn't an umbrella term for everything else going on in the LGBT community.

Many people identify as gender neutral, gender fluid, or no gender at all and therefore prefer the gender neutral pronouns.

It's not about making it easier for everyone else to understand, it's about allowing people to feel more comfortable in their own skin. If it confuses you, or bothers you, then don't worry about it?

Like, someone could identify as a pineapple and it still wouldn't be anyone else's business except for theirs and NOBODY has the entitlement to dictate what gender THEY think you are, it only matters how they choose to identify, if they choose to at all. Period. Hopefully more of the world catches up to this notion.

I respect all peoples choices. Just found out my nephew is gay today. Actually had it confirmed. I fully support equal rights for gays.

It is however beyond insane that someone with a #######, can wake up one morning and decided they wish to be treated as a women in all areas, and I am supposed to go along with such the emperor has no clothes absurd BS.
