I got married on October 2013, We are going to file tax, do we file for single or married? Married jointly or seperately? And If file for married, I read somewhere that I need to submity income statement 2013, but I didn't bring my 2013 income statement when I moved here. What should I do?

Ok so i need to file married and find a way how to get my income statements on 2013. Should I file married jointly or seperately?

if the income statements is in my language do I need someone to translate it into english?

I don't think you have to submit your ITR from Indonesia, assuming you are the foreign beneficiary.

Filing jointly or separately is a matter of choice but most people (I think) file jointly for the ROC.

You have to count worldwide income for the whole year. I am not sure what evidence is required for foreign income, so I would check on that.

Well, one of my friend just told me her experience. She got married last year too.

Her USC husband just filed Tax Married Jointly, they went to Liberty and she didn't have to submit her Indonesia income statement so she didn't, on the tax form her husband put her as his dependant.

A spouse is never a dependent, so I highly doubt her account.

FYI, people do their taxes illegally and wrong all the time. Then they get audited and have to pay a fine.
