I heard that it is a little strict when getting the crba for showing proof of a relationship before conception. I met my wife online and we talked over the internet for a little over 8 months, then I went to meet her. The third week I was there she got pregnant with our child. All I have is around 15 pics of us before conception plus our skype conversations. I did 25 screenshots of our skype over the last 5 months. The previous three months we talked on yahoo messenger but we're not able to obtain those conversations. Do you think that is enough for us to prove our relationship before conception? Should I print more screenshots? Thank you

I don't have personal experience with CRBA but I would suggest that you bring as many evidence as you can. It is upon the consul's discretion to approve it or not. Worse case, they will ask for a DNA test.

Good luck. :)

Also do I need to write the date on the back of the pictures?

As long as you have evidence that the child is yours.. You have to prove that you were together, Especially at the estimated time of conception. If you were at the same place at those times. Passport stamps plus pictures together. You and the mom have or had a relationship and that you can prove you are a us citizen.. There should be no problem.

If you signed the birth certtificate of the child would be a big plus...and dont forget all the paperworks has to be notarized.

The consul will look at the baby too. If the baby looks hybrid then it should be fine.

How do I get the paperwork notarized?

Both parents are encouraged to attend the interview, that would save on notarial services.

I will be going through the same process when my baby gets here and I'm basically submitting stuff that we submitted during the I-130 - my boarding passes, photos and my credit card statements that prove I was in town during the date of conception. I'm also bringing all my prenatal files especially my ultrasound results.

Remember that you also need to prove that you have citizenship to pass on so be ready with documents for that. Photocopy the pages of your passport (including the old ones), bring transcripts from school or tax returns. My husband has never left the US or have been issued a passport so I'll just be bringing his tax returns and high school transcript.
