Hello everyone,

How long roughly did you wait for your AP to be approved?

Mine has been "processing" since early January and i'm just curious as to how long it generally takes to hear if it has been approved or not.

Thank you

Have you been for your interview at the embassy in London yet? Sorry to be ignorant but what do you mean by AP?

I went for my interview at the embassy on Tuesday and my status updated today as issued. So that's 2 days since my interview, however the whole process from petition to now has taken 7 months.

Hope this helps

Claire

Our case has stated "READY" on the CEAC site since our Jan-15 interview even though they told us we were in Administrative Review. We were given a processing time directly from the person conducting our interview of 2-3 weeks and, of course, here we sit, waiting, with no new news except the status update date changing periodically on the CEAC website. For that, I am thankful and praying that this state of exhile ends sooner than later. Fortunately because of this site I foresaw the longer wait than what we were told at the interview.

As far as a general idea on how long, it seems there unfortunately isn't one as each case/embassy is so different. Others have told me it can take anywhere from 2-months to a year or more!!! Ugh! I would love to be a member of the "fast processing club" though!!! Would love to hear more input on this as well from others though....

AP = Advanced Parole, I'm guessing the OP is already married and in the US filing AOS, if that is the case it generally takes between 60-90 days for EAD/AP to be granted but can be longer if you get any RFEs.

OP, please take a second to update your timeline. As you can see, people do not know what stage of the process you are in.

If you are talking about an Advance Parole, it currently takes roughly 60-90 days from the NOA date to get approved. Mine took 65 days last year.

I believe she's referring to ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING (AP), not advance parole (AP)? Unless I'm mistaken of course but I am in AP (which is virtually the same as AR) rolleyes.gif and is also referred to when calling as AP by the NVC. ((Loving all the acronyms! hahaa!))

If you are referring to advance parole, I filed mine last Nov with an NOA date of 6 Nov and received my combo card about 70 days later. The VJ prediction on my timeline was spot on so another reason to update your timeline.

I filed Oct 28 2013 and still haven't been approved. I called once it was past the 90 days and they sent a service request. Basically all that did was told me that my paperwork is in line. ARG! The first time I had called USCIS about it, they told me that the processing date for the Nebraska Service Center where my paperwork was, was at sept. And so they couldn't do a request or anything. I called the next day and they put it through. Biggest frustration EVER: USCIS!

Good luck!

The average wait time at the moment is 63 days. I'm also waiting for mine (since December 17th).

I'm so sorry for confusing you all,I did infact mean Advance Parole. I didn't think that of course it could also mean Administrative processing too. I thought it probably took 90 days or so but wanted to check what the average wait is for those who have had Advance Parole approved.
