Hi everyone, I'm new to visa journey. I hope you can advice me things that would alleviate my anxiety.

We filed our petition last June of 2013 and We got our Noa2 on the October . We waited for the case no. till November and things starts to unraveled. Our place got hit of typhoon Yolanda so it delayed my processing. No electricity, telephone lines, transportation. Imagined the worst scenarios as you have seen on TV. So, me and my fiance never talked for almost a month like we did before. I didn't got our case no because I didn't have chance to call embassy, no signal and telephone lines, no interview schedule.I worry about my fiance knowing he was thinking about me or if I'm ok or alive. I love him so much and I want to be with him badly. So to cut this story short. I was pretty much in crisis( psychologically, emotionally) because of the experience. I have trauma that still awakens me everynight.

But due to some therapies conducted here in Tacloban Im pretty much ok now. :)

I got my case no. last January where things gone better here and talked to my fiance, I missed him a lot. I finished my medical in SaintLukes. My problem now is in my interview this March. I am worrying so much and paranoid. I slept almost 3am from reading visa journey post about interview. Again, I'm starting to become anxious. If I had the complete requirements etc. I have been reading a lot here about interview experiences. And it seems they got different requirements maybe because some forms is obsolete like Ds forms? And they will only ask for Ds 160 upon arrival. Is this correct? What are other requirements needed? I am now preparing, I just don't wanna miss something,

I have talked to Jen a vj member.:) and If you know a hotel that is the nearest to embassy pls reply to my post :)

I know I'm worrying too much. Pls. Enlighten me.

Your reply is very much appreciated..

More power to everyone in visa journey community :)

Just my opinion and what my gal did, you might want to take a copy of the complete package of the I-129f petition your guy filed for you. For example, the CO interviewing my gal asked her to show her the first email we had exchanged between each other. I had included this email in my I-129f petiton package and was lucky that I had also sent her my copy, with original "artwork" (documentation and evidence) to her for the interview that had the email in it. As far as documentation and evidence you need, such as the medical, cfo stamp, PDOS and other stuff I am sure you already know about this.

Best of luck!

You survived yolanda, you have complete requirements. sometimes reading too much stresses you more. every CO is different, plus the fact that youre a yolanda survivor, come to think of it. maybe its an edge for you......maybe the CO will just ask how you cope yolanda....think things the other way around. relax yourself.....

think things in a positive way! RELAX!

Hi, I stayed at citystate tower hotel, walking distance going to USEM, I think I walked for less than 5 mins.. Other hotels near USEM: Casa bocobo hotel, city garden suites, lotus garden hotel, hostellery hotel, bayview park hotel (across USEM), best western hotel, Rosas garden.

The embassy instructions letter lists everything that is required, follow it and you will have no issues. The DS-160 replaced all the other forms sometime back so you only need to print the confirmation page after completing that form and bring it to the interview.

For sure do NOT need a copy of the I-129F petition. Copies of the emails between you and your fiancee... yes as it is evidence of an ongoing relationship, copy of the I-129F no.

If it isn't listed in the embassy instructions letter, it isn't required.

My fiancé just had her interview on Jan 16 and she was approved. Go to Hanks page. We followed the information there and everything went fine. The information on Hanks page is updated and accurate. Just follow what it says there and you will do fine..

Best of luck!

Hank,

I have no desire to debate this issue with you. Since even VJ states that is is "advisable" to send a complete copy of the I-129f petition to my gal, she and I found it much "simpler" to take the entire package wiith her for the interview rather than "pick and choose" items from it and take a chance on not having documentation/evidence that might have been asked for during the interview and not have it had with her. That was our persoanl choice and as I stated in the first statement, "Just my opinion and what my gal did..." As I suspect you did not find it "advisable" to take a copy of the complete copy - that was your personal choicel. But, then my gal has yet to have an interview other than the I-129f, and she has complete ROC. So, I would gather that she and I have done something right!

There isn't any issue with bringing it along to the interview, the CO already had your original I-129F petition sitting in front of him.... so he had that email already as well, which sort of points out that front loading was very beneficial. wink.png

No debate, no issue.

I will stick with following the embassy instructions letter when asked.

I know that my wife will tell you to pray and that if this is God's will he will bless you. That you are where you are now is his will.

Now my pragmatic viewpoint: Breathe. Remember everything about your fiancee. Though I never used their services, I gathered a lot of information from Fiancee Visa Services (visacoach dot com) and signed up for his email list to get his listing of 120 questions his clients have been asked at the interview. I sent the list to my wife complete with all the answers so she could know everything. She reviews the list and occasionally asks me about one of the questions. So she's studying and confident. And that is the best thing you can be. Confident.

The best of luck to you!
