I will be sending my application at the end of this month, and so far this is what i have:

-2 years tax return and transcripts, filed jointly.

-Photos

-2 Affidavit letters ( and one from my parents stating that we live together)

-Health insurance through my job for both of us. (This is pretty recent, only like 2-3 months because i wasnt eligible before)

-401 k plan listing my husband as a beneficiary

-2 year rental lease ( it is a joint lease with my parents bc we live together)

-3 kinds of utility bills under me and my husbands name

-Both NYC licenses (same adress)

-My husband has been in an accident, so all the medical bills and checks sent to our adress

-Pay stubs stating that we are married

-Car insurance listing my husband as a driver (although its from a different state )

-Letter from college stating that i have changed my last name and a diploma with my married last name

please let me know if i should include anything else

Looks good. Here's some more food for thought:

-Bank statements (all pages) - joint or individual accounts with same address - one every three months since you received the green card. We have a joint account and I also have an individual one - I printed statements as above and highlighted payment for car from my account or transfer to joint account, mortgage payment... Had no issues.

-Any mail (even if just an envelope) sent to both or either of you at the same address. We even used the front or back page of magazine subscription. Friends sent us postcards and also Christmas and anniversary cards so we included those as well.

-We also had copies of club membership (Sam's) and copies of our cats' vet bills listing both of us as owners/pet parents.

Looks good, only thing I can think of is any other kinds of insurance if you have any: life, dental, vision, etc. Good luck!

Send it. Be sure to fill out the AR-11 form after you move if you file before you move to update the beneficiary's address and the i-865 (might be different number) to update the sponsor's address.

thank you all! you think i should be sending my joint car insurance even though its from another state? We are soon planning to move.
