I have so nervous too! I stress to much and over think it. Arrived early, 1st person there I wanted to be in and out. At the door they will ask for your passport and confirmation appt letter, it is the one with the lokmis reference number on it. Have it ready They will ask for this while you re in line. You will go in through security. I didn't take anything except document folder and wallet. You will be instructed to go up in elevator to 19th floor. When you get out u line up again with passport and confirmation letter. They will give you a number and ask u to have a seat. Your number gets called you will go to window where a nice lay will collect documents. It's not all rushed she is putting together all your docs in your folder of information they have gathering from you over the months. She asked for birth certificate, police report. 2 passport photos, 1-134 and taxes from fiance / employment letter. She did ask for my fiancé divorce papers as well. After you will do digital finger prints before you sit again and wait to be called for interview. I sat for about 10 to 15 minutes. My number was called again( I was first interview) it was nerve wreaking for a minute on way to the window to have interview. They ask you to read something ( that everything is honest and true) then he asked how I met my fiance, when we plan to get married, what my fiancé does for work And verified his yearly income, if I have ever been arrested or trouble with law. That's was it. He gave back my orgianl birth certificate and said I was approved!!

I was never so happy. It was probably about 10 or 11 minutes. Stay calm, I had nothing to worry about but felt very nervous for nothing.

All the best.

You got lucky. I got there about 7:30. I thought that was early enough but there was about 8 people ahead of me in line. I did everything Dreamman did but I waited an awful long time to get called up to the interview part, probably an hour and a half. I was so nervous, I hate any kind of interview. He was a nice guy but he seemed like he had to be serious but I made him crack a few smiles.

I got there in line up at 7:30 and left about 11. I suggest arrive early and have everything they ask for and you should be fine and also breathe.

Good luck peeps.

I planned to be first person in line. I was there at 7 by myself and almost got frostbite. Lol. Doors don't open until about 740am. I was finished and out the door by 840am:)

Wonderful stories everyone. I plan to be there at 7am too, I don't mind waiting outside. The only thing I know I need that most wont is I have a new police certificate as my original is going to be out of date in about a week. When I get approved im going to literally run from the front of the building back to my hotel to call my fiance with the good news.

Even if you take your phone you have to leave it at security. You cannot make outside calls within a US embassy like that. Huge security risk.

No bags, purses, electronics etc...

There is also a review section on both consulates. Feel free to read up!

All I brought was small purse that only had my wallet in it. I did not bring my phone. Security was happy that I barely brought anything but my paperwork. If you did bring a phone they held it for you. I don't think they will have you call your fiance for confirmation. Just bring the proper documents.

As for the interview questions, I can't remember all of them but he asked me when and where did you meet your fiance, how long have you known him, where does he work, his birthday, what are our plans for the wedding. Basic questions. He then says "Okay, I need you to prove to me that this is a real relationship" So I showed him pictures of my fiance and I and all of my Skype and email conversations. He said " Okay I believe that you are going to get married to him and that it is a real relationship. And that was it.

You should be fine if you have all of your documents and then some. It's better to have than not need it than to need it and not have it.

Good Luck!
