Good luck Erica! I hope you get your date before the 4 month wait. That's a long time.

Yeah it is, but I've sort of mentally prepared myself for it, so it doesn't stress me out any more than it needs to. We made it through these past 2 months, so hopefully now that we're a bit more on our feet, these 2 months will fly by!

Only thing stressing me out is filling out all the change of address forms, but I'll get 'er done!

haha...congrats bud!

Its always down to the wire. I was planning a trip to Montreal with the wife myself for the long weekend when we heard my combo card was on the way. The card showed up early and we could have done it, but decided not to rock the boat with the AOS in process. So we'll wait!

Enjoy your vacation...and the FREEEEEEEEEEDOM!!!!

Cheers!

I also agree with those that say to make the effort to wear something nice. My husband and I both appeared to our interview in business suit attire. I saw way too many people wearing clothing that was more appropriate for a picnic! You want to impress upon them that you are taking this interview seriously.

Hi fellow Feb filers,

Its been a while since I have been on this website. Good to see that many of you have got your green card. I am still waiting for an interview. The Denver office seems to be way behind others. My case went on interview scheduling on March 19th and its still on that. Fortunately the EAD has helped a lot to get the other things going. I am going to change apartments soon so do i just change my address online with USCIS or do i have to send in any forms. Anyone who has done it please advise....

Best of luck to everyone who is waiting for their interviews.

OK, yesterday I had my interview (840am) and have been stressed since - No news or updates yet.

The interview was really intense and it was done together.

Everything went well until she asked us if we consummated the wedding.

We are of islamic religion and we cannot consummate until a certain time even if the legal court marriage is done.

I told her the truth - I could have easily lied by saying yes (because this question leads to asking about scars on the body, i know the scars too) but we have just not actually consummated yet.

We showed her the engagement/court marriage photos. She told me to name everyone in the pictures (like 30 people in the pics)

The only thing we have together is a bank account, on submission of papers the balance was 25$, so she said that is too low.

Luckily i had new statement with a much larger balance.

I took screenshots for Facebook/Instagram showing 'Married'.

we gave her our Whatsap/Skype communication log for 9 months which was 1576 pages originally (cut it to 25 pages each)

She said, they will notify us by mail with a decision (infact she even mentioned about 2 year later to file ROC - i dont know if that is a requirement to mention or a note to remain positive)

Everyone, please add your details to the Google Spreadsheet - Goodluck to all

Hello there,

I am in the same boat. My interview date was 05/22. My interview was was at the baltimore office. I got there about 30 minutes before the scheduled time. The IO called us in 15 minutes before the scheduled time. We swore the oath and the interview began with showing him our documents and pictures taken over 3+ years as he asked what we like to do. We answered that and he asked my spouse's name and DOB which I also answered. He then asked the standard questions about espionage, communism...after which he said I was approved and I would get the card in the mail in about 3 months but typically within 2 - 3 weeks. He said he would approve it the next day or last Tuesday (05/27). I haven't heard anything since. No website update, emails or text. I am a little antsy at the moment. The only reason I can think of for this delay is the typo in my I-485 form. One of the dates on the form should have been 07/20 but I had 07/02 and he himself said he knew it was a mistake and it wasn't a big deal. He made a copy of my passport before we left. He didn't stamp my passport or give me any letter. He also didn't tell me the ROC procedures.

Overall, he was friendly and we even talked about basketball. I just want this to be over so I can move on.

Still waiting after my interview as well which was May 19th. My I-130 was finally approved last week but today I got an e-mail that they shipped the I-130 to NVC...the National Visa Center...as if they think I am still in Canada waiting to get an interview at the embassy! USCIS seriously has their wires crossed in my case.

So I have an Infopass appointment at Federal Plaza this Wednesday to see how this will get resolved. At least I have the formal notice of approval of the I-130 to show them.

I hope that will be enough to convince them to just approve my I-485 without any more waiting :(
