Congrats Erica ! What kind of a job is it?

Thank you everyone!

It's a hostess job at a higher end steakhouse restaurant. It actually pays well, is full-time, you get tips, everyone there gives off good vibes and they don't care about most piercings or visible tattoos, which is one of the things I was concerned about.

Since we're moving in a few months I didn't want to get an office job or something like that because I'd feel bad screwing them over and with a restaurant I feel like they'd still be more understanding and still give me a good reference because people cycle through the food industry pretty often. Also I wouldn't mind adding it to my resume as so many places require you have restaurant or serving experience and I only have veterinary/retail experience and it is slim pickings around here in those fields.

I'm just excited to get a paycheck and get out of the house everyday :)

That sounds awesome! I used to work in a restaurant while I was in school, so I know it's good money. And I think it's a good idea to not get something more permanent since you will be moving soon. Too bad I live in Boston. Otherwise I would have come to that steakhouse :P
