Something good and not so good happened today. First, we were able to get my biometrics done! There were just two people getting theirs done before me, and then it was my turn. Spent a total of 15-20 minutes there total. Experience was nice, they did ask me why I was early and I just told them I was in the area and I just thought I'd drop by and walk in.

So today I also got my RFE letter. It was about my husband's income being less than 125% of the poverty guidelines, but we don't understand why since he has a steady job, he's in the national guard, and he earned almost $5,000 more than the poverty guidelines set for our household size. We consulted a lawyer about this too before we submitted our application and she said it wasn't a problem. UGH. This is frustrating. We might just go ahead and get a joint sponsor.

We gave them his 3 most recent tax transcripts (2010-2012), w-2s for 2013 (he hasn't filed for 2013 yet), 6 most recent pay stubs (which includes year-to-date earnings) for both his steady job and national guard job.

We sent our AOS package on the 22nd via USPS priority mail and it was delivered on the 24th. So far we have not received e-mail or text confirmation. We are getting a little worried because reading this forum it appears some folks who mailed their packages around the same time have already received confirmations. We are getting a little anxious already and I know it's a long road ahead of us. Below is our timeline so far.

We waited almost two weeks for our confirmations. I know exactly what you're going through. The did come though, just not as fast as others. Trust me, I'm jealous of those who got their stuff faster than us. Doesn't help that we have an RFE that we have to deal with now. but hang in there, it may arrive later this week.

Well that sounds solid. Anyway you can get updated job letters from both his regular employer and the national guard in order to submit that with the RFE?

Make sure the employment letters list his current position, date of hire, his current salary etc...

Yeah, we can definitely do that. We'll add in a joint sponsor to be extra sure. I'm frustrated, but I guess we just have to give them what they want. It would be nice to know their basis for the RFE, though. We also tried calling USCIS and of course the agent just told us to do what the letter said.

That is great congrats! I called my bank today and our checks have not been cashed yet either. Our application was delivered on the same date but we have heard nothing yet. Hopefully we will get some news this week.

I'm sure something will come through soon, there seems to be no specific order behind how they organize and process them after receipt.

EDIT: Did you attached the G-1145 form to the package?

Yes we attached the G-1145 form both to the I-130 and I-485 packages.
