Okay, so I just noticed on my EAD card that there was a typo. My sex was "U". Not "F". Called USCIS, and they made a service request for me. They said I'll get a response within 15-30 days. Also, I never received anything about my AP. The agent said I should've gotten a combo card since my AP was approved together with my EAD. So they made another service request for that.

So weird since I applied for my SSN today and the person who handled my application didn't notice the typo either. It was only on the ride home that I saw it. I hope this doesn't affect my SSN application since they still have to verify my status with DHS.

I had a similar problem.

My EAD card had a typo. So, they put in a service request.

Few days later i got a mail with a form asking what the correct info was.

And to send the CARD BACK TO THEM so they can destroy it.

They replied with a new card after 3 months. Longer than the time they took to send me the first card.

So, only if it very important, you want to change.

I think, just let it go. The PR card matters the most

Do you think a JOB OFFER LETTER is good enough to fax to them to expedite the EAD card?

Yeah, I'm thinking about not sending it back to them and just wait for my interview, which is in a month. I just hope it won't affect my SSN application though, since I was really hoping to start working soon. Fingers crossed XX

Brian

That's what the rep told me. My EAD card said "Not valid for reentry to the US" in the bottom. So they have made two service requests for me and I am seriously doubting if it's going to be worth the time and effort to get them corrected.

(Day 77) did my interview this morning at 8:30!

We had an IO and the IO's supervisor. The IO seemed to be nervous at times as her hands was shaking as she turned the papers.

My wife and I was called in and the IO had us swear to tell the truth, then she asked me to leave the room and that she would call me back in a couple of minutes after she talked to my wife. My wife said she asked her simple questions such as: how did we meet? Who was at the wedding? Along with other questions about our ongoing relationship. Before I was called back into the room they had reviewed all the supporting documents the we had brought with us such as: bank statements, rental agreement, life insurance etc. (NB: none of these documents was submitted with my original application).

When they were finish she called me in and she ask me to state my name, asked me who was at the wedding, when did we started dating, who propose to who, what date with I propose, when did I arrive in the United States, who was I visiting, has my wife and I ever take any vacation together, to which I said no but we hope to take one in December. I was working without papers so she asked what type of work I was doing, how long have I been working there and what documents I gave to my employers for me to get that job. After all those questions she moved on to the yes or no questions that are on the I485. When she was done asking those questions she looked over to her supervisor and asked if she wanted to asked any questions and she nodded no.

All this time the interview was being recorded with the camera looking right at us.

She looked at some of our pictures and then asked if we had any questions, we answered no.

She said she will have to review all our supporting documents and that we would hear from them within 2 weeks.

After we leave the room our attorney said everything was on point and that all our answers match. At 1:30pm when I checked my status online it says CARD PRODUCTION. checked it again at 7 and it says DECISION: A letter was sent and this person is registered as a permanent resident. My wife's I-130 is now approved and a letter was also mailed out today.

A year ago I didn't even thought I would get married but I kept praying and believing and the Lord did hear my prayers. In less than a year my life has change and I owe all to god!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!! BEST WISHES!!!!

Strange, it sounds like you had a mini stokes interview and I thought they only occured rarely when the IO was suspicious or not 100%. Maybe I am wrong? I didn't know it was normal process to be seperated for the interview? In any case, it ended well for you so congratulations!! Hope your green card arrives safely soon!
