Question....!!! For all of you guys that have they're EAD or have on its way...... At the time you status E-mail and txt change or were sent out to you, you guys also received a tracking number for the document????

Mine was 4 days in production, then there was only a few hours inbetween when they sent me e-mail and text notifications that they had mailed it, to when it was actually picked up by the USPS and given a tracking number.

Don't worry it should change within 2-4 weeks at most. It took 3 weeks for mine to change online to Interview and Testing status. Now waiting for an actual appointment time.

I already have a SSN because I worked in my school (my current status is F-1). However, my social security card says something like, "Valid only with DHS work authorization." So will I have to get a new social security card that doesn't say anything when I get my EAD or green card?

Yes -- after you get your Green Card you will be able to get a "clean" SSN card without that annotation on it.

I guess you most probably will be able to change it.

I suggest to go to the SSN office with your GC; not really your EAD card..

Please Let me know what's the process to get a SS card...!!!! once I get my EAD

I believe you can just go to a Social Security Office with your EAD card and they will assign you a number & send you out a card. I am not sure on the fees involved for it tho!

I'm here as well, AOS package was received Feb. 18 (see timeline in signature).

My case status hasn't moved for 4 weeks now, but my lawyer says not to worry. I'm still waiting for an interview date... how long is this going to take?! I'm sure Texas is a busy state regarding immigration, but I wish things would move faster. So frustrating.
