Don't worry it should change within 2-4 weeks at most. It took 3 weeks for mine to change online to Interview and Testing status. Now waiting for an actual appointment time.

I agree with the above - nothing to worry about just yet. I had biometrics on the 7th March & my status didn't change to 'Interview & Testing' until the 3rd April..

I agree also, my biometrics (early walk in ) was on March 10th and my status didn't update until April 1st

When we submitted the I-130 we also included a copy of my husband's (USC/petitioner) birth certificate because he was not born in the US.

Refer to Page 4 of the instruction for for the I-130 and read the section What if a Document is not Available?

Option D Affidavits may be your best bet if there is no way to obtain a replacement birth certificate for your husband. I hope he can find it though!

Definitely get one from his father, and any maternal/paternal aunt/uncle/grandparent that knew him from birth.

Siblings wouldn't be a valid option unless they are significantly older than your husband and would have remembered his birth.

Make sure to have whomever include a photocopy of their ID with their affidavit. If the affidavit is done in a foreign language, you'll need to have it translated into English.

I think it's dependent on the nature of the child. Is your child one to get really antsy after sitting for a few minutes? Or is your child the more silent type and could sit quietly for 30 minutes and more?

I see nothing wrong with bringing your child personally but that's my two cents

My coworker brought her 1 year old son to the her interview and it went well for her. That's just one case, but it's something to consider.

Called Wednesday to expedite my case....

Received Email today to fax proof of financial hardship and job offer

Fax sent.... Crossing fingers now

I think I will also need to call USCIS about expediting my I-765 application because I recently accepted a job offer that starts in a few weeks. Do you think that's a valid reason for an expedite request?

Just found this group today and most of the applications here are just like mine i.e Concurrent filing of I-130, I-485 and I-765.

Good to see a lot of progress in this group. Best of luck to everyone who have their interview dates already. Mine changed to testing and interview back on March 19 but I still have not heard anything. The Denver office is apparently way behind and very slow. Hopefully, I will get the EAD in a couple of weeks and then I can finally start working. Have been so bored sitting at home for the past 5 months...

Timeline from B2 Visa:

02/12/14: I-130, I-485 and I-765 Mailed Concurrently via USPS Express Mail to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/14: Delivery Confirmation Received via USPS Website

02/20/14: Text & Email Notifications Received and Payment Processed

02/25/14: NOA1 Hard Copy Received

03/08/14: Biometrics Appointment Notice Received and Scheduled for 03/14/14 in Denver, CO.

03/14/14: Bio-metrics done.

03/20/14: Case status for AOS changed to Testing and Interview.

It is a reason they asked me to send then a fax with the job offer plus any evidence of financial hardship you should give a try, wors casenario if they denied it t wont impact your case.....

This is what they ask me to send

Upon receipt of your request for expeditious handling, your case was reviewed and a determination was made that we need additional information to make a decision regarding your request. Please fax proof of extreme emergent need (or proof of job offer (upcoming job with start date, or current job with termination date from employer), etc.) with English translation to the following number 816-251-2290, Attn: LA0518 Div 5 Tm 2 Please include this notice with your fax.

I don't think it's a requirement but it's not a bad idea to have the copies on hand for the interview just in case. I also sent two bona-fide marriage affidavits in my case and had attached the photocopy of the ID's.

In the case of the poster with the USC's missing birth certificate I think it's more important that there is valid ID with the affidavits.

Yeah.... If you have a job offer, is a good evidence.... Whatever you decide is good..!!!!

I've been quiet for a while because of my RFE and the fact that it took us almost a month to send our response. I honestly thought it would take another month until our case would get updated again, but today we got texts and emails saying my EAD card is now in production and my AP is approved! So happy! What a relief!
