Very much aware of the supplement. I wanted the OP to explain why the need to send a lengthy supplement when in fact sufficient space is provided for that purpose on the petition form?

A supplement is any information that will not fit on the original form. Usually the supplement being referred to is a description of the circumstances of meeting. For this question, a simple answer is all that is required and will easily fit in the space provided on the form. However, some will write a more lengthy description, sometimes a page or more, detailing their circumstances of meeting and including a bit of relationship history.

that's the I-864 ..long AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT firm ....I mean the I/134 affidavit if support

There are 2 affidavit of support forms: the I-134 and the I-864.

The I-134 is needed at the embassy stage AFTER the I-129f is approved. It is not needed in the I-129f petition.

The I-864 is needed for the I-485 application to adjust status, AFTER the K-1 visa is issued, the beneficiary is married, and is adjusting status.

Thank you for the clarification. I also wonder why anyone needs to send in a supplement when the space given is plenty enough.

No, that's not right.

I know what you mean and I am trying to help you.

The I-129F is the first step of the K-1 visa process. There are many more steps. The I-134 comes later, at the embassy/interview stage. You do not send in packet 3 stuff with the I-129F petition.

It is true that after the K-1 visa is obtained, there are even more steps, and a part of subsequent steps includes a I-864, but that is not involved in getting a K-1 visa.

VisaJourney has a very clear guide to walk you through it. Have you found it yet?
