It is a common misconception that if one sends all the required documents to USCIS with the initial petition (including those required at later stages) this will quicken the process. If you send the required documents for packet 3 and 4, they will be ignored by USCIS and you will end up sending them all again because they will need to be updated. This can often cause delays.

Read the I129F instructions and send what is required.

good luck

I am the petitioner and I never copied my passport for the I-129F and we have had our petition approved and received out NOA2.

And I, on the other hand, had only provided copies of the stamped pages and biographical pages of my husband's and my passports, and we DID get an RFE. It depends on the adjudicator. You're better off being safe than sorry, and copy both of your whole passports, front to back.

Yeah, the thing is that each case is different. Not everyone one case is the same. You see, I might not have provided information of my passport, but I provided a copy of my birth certificate.

We used to have an immigration lawyer, who is very good, and one thing he did recommend to has is to never give them more information than they require. If they think you are missing documents they will ask you.

What is I-129 supplement?

Did you include a short letter/note to describe "how you two first met"?

so where does the I-134 affidavit of support fit in ?

Later down the line. This is a multi-step process. The I-129F is the first step. You don't fit all the evidence you will ever need in the first packet.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

You only need to copy ALL pages of your passport if you are using it as proof of US citizenship. If you have already submitted a copy of your birth certificate, then you do not need a copy of all pages of your passport. If you are submitting copies of your passport stamps to prove meeting within the last 2 years, you only need to submit a copy of those passport pages with the stamps as well as a copy of your biographical page.

The beneficiary's passport is never needed for the I-129f petition.

If proving US citizenship: ALL pages of passport

If proving meeting within 2 years: Only relevant pages, plus biographical page

A supplement is any information that will not fit on the original form. Usually the supplement being referred to is a description of the circumstances of meeting. For this question, a simple answer is all that is required and will easily fit in the space provided on the form. However, some will write a more lengthy description, sometimes a page or more, detailing their circumstances of meeting and including a bit of relationship history.
