Hello everyone,

I never wrote here but I have been following for months now.

I'm happily married to an U.S. Sailor who is (SADLY) gettin deployed very soon. Can't tell when because the date is classified and so is the destination and so is the ship :/

You can understand from here that we definitely CAN'T have official deployment orders. We filed an I-130 and USCIS received it January 28th.

Now the problem is: my husband asked his commander to write a letter for the expedite case and they are willing to help... BUT they need to know what to write, where to write it and every kind of thing they might need.

We understand expedite letters are very personal but can ANYONE help us and send a sample?

Easy....If he drafts up a letter on official letterhead stating that he is deploying and is requesting an expedite due to official military deployment he can get it signed by his OIC, deployment manager or Commander. I did 3 letters, all of them stated the same thing-that I was deploying, the dates included. If dates are classified simply state that so they dont send a Request for Info. I had my unit deployment manager, OIC, and the Installation Deployment Officer sign them. One letter should suffice I just did 3. Im not in the Navy but Im sure he has a deployment manager or Officer who can sign.A lot of people have the Commander sign but I did not.
