Montreal: "There are no available appointments at this time"

So I am finally at the place in the process where I can book my interview and medical (Montreal, Canada), and of course the website repeatedly gives me the message "there are no available appointments at this time", with no info on when to check back or when the next block of them is for.

Any tips on booking one? Do they come open in blocks, and how far out do they book them, months, weeks?

Is it pretty easy for out-of-towners to get their medical appointment close to their interview? I sure hope so, I don't want to go to Montreal twice. Luckily it's not far (I'm in Ottawa).

I got the same problem. I've been waiting for almost 1week already. Not sure if I should go for medical check up now while I have no idea when my interview date is gonna be yet.

You cant do the medical without an interview date. You just have to wait and then keep checking to see if new dates open up.

I read in another thread (admittedly from 2011, but then again...) that sometimes appointments will become available in small batches - a dozen interview dates, in that 2011 occurence - and then will be booked and disappeared very quickly. Therefore, here is my plea : PLEASE, should anyone see something for Montreal, post it here so everyone can have a chance at booking their interview!

On January 9th, 2014 when I scheduled my interview, I had a date of April 22nd. Less than a week later I checked to see if there were any earlier dates - a couple opened up at the end of January, and a lot opened up for February. I suggest to check every day if you can to see if any more dates have opened up.

I have also been checking daily... but if the interviews go very quickly, I guess it can be in a few hours - so if i check at 10AM and interviews come up at 2PM it means I could be missing the only window in weeks! This is dreadful so again, I suggest we all try to let everyone know when things move!

You are not alone. I guess there are many people are waiting for the available date. I used to try the phone lines twice last week, but nothing worked out. I'm not sure what's going on with them, while US consulate in Vancourver is fine. ?????.

Just called for information (Québec City: 418-800-1751) and a VERY NICE lady answered a few of my questions: they dont know when new interview times will be added, but there is indeed new bunches being added once in a while. She said to keep looking on the site as often as possible, many times a day even.

When I asked if interview slots were only added during daytime/workday hours, she said that most would be but that it was possible that new availability would be added at any time, since as soon as someone cancel their appointment, said appointment immediately goes back to the pool.

Bottom line: KEEP CHECKING!
(And keep us updated as soon as you find something!)

Hi, are you able to view the calender to see the available dates?? I am stuck on ''There are no available appointments at this time.''

I am thinking of paying the MRV fee, maybe that way I can view the calender?
