I know I'm a late comer but I read this whole thread and I just have one comment:

I hope I never get so insipid that I start quoting Ingmar Bergman to make a point.

I always thought Ingmar Bergman had more depth, although Allah has a lot more action in his work.

Well of the two only one has been nominated for an Oscar. Though neither have ever won one.
