Naturalization IS free. It only has a fee if you are rich. I forgot about nothing. You did.

I will take the bus. I wish I could go to POland to be an American than. Unfortunately, the bus in America is expenisve.

It is not a lie. It is the LAW! A birth certificate IS required to get a State ID. I Read it.

A name can be illegal if it is not according to the law. That means illegal. Maybe you do not know this, but the USA has many laws regulating personal names. I do not think my name is illegal, the law does. Green cards are issued by the DHS and the CIS. Who ever told you that the ITD issued them? Did you never even look at your green card and see "DHS" on it? lol

Yawn.....You've been given enough information, if you decide to ignore it that is your problem. You asked for help and people nicely gave you an answer, no need to be rude. Stop trolling already

First off you went to a post office asking about a passport and your not naturalized yet. They told you a line to get rid of you. You don't need a driver's licensee to get a passport. You do however need to present identification to the post master. The one they always asked for is a DL because it's the most common, it's a photo ID and a post office worker knows what it looks like. After being naturalized you can use the naturalization certificate and your current national passport for photo identification. Or you can just go to the local motor vehicle office and get issued a state identification card which is a Driver license card that says identification only not valid for motor vehicle operation. At least that's what it says in my state.

Second not all post offices accept passport applications or do the passport photo's. You can look at the USPS web site at the link below to find out which passport office to go to. Again they won't even want to talk to you until you have a naturalization certificate.

My current passport is foreign. Foreign passports are not accepted in the US as proof of ID. Besides this, it does not have my name in it. I cant get a State ID becasue I have no US birth certificate and my name is illegal. I have my own printer. So I do not need a post office to take my picture.

My name is illegal, becasue it has hyphens! :\

If your name is such a big problem for everybody in the state of Idaho, maybe you should think of changing it. You will have this option at the Naturalization Interview so think about it. You know, just make it simpler for simple folks ;)

I see many people with hyphenated first, second, and family names.... Many of them have drivers licenses and passports, some of them are foreign some are born here.

It is not possible, as it is illegal. Also, passports are issued by the DOS. The DOS is Federal government, NOT Idaho. If someone tell you that their passport with hyphens is issued by Idaho government, they are really lying to you.

Are your idahoan friends driving here with local automotive lisence? Or from other state?

If this person is having this much of a problem about a passport, I do wonder how they managed to get through the G/C application????, which is by far a harder thing to do.

Green card is easy. Only two papers to fill out! Very frank and easy to understand. It is not my FAULT that I do not have a US birth certificate.
