Worried about the medical exam for the K1 visa

Hi!

I was notified today that our case is already on it's way to the embassy. It's only been 1.5 months since we filed and I was expecting it to take WAY longer. My problem is that I've gained a lot of weight in the last year... I was a little overweight to begin with, then I lived in Italy for 5 months and ate too much pizza and pasta :-P Then I lived in the States for 6 months and gained even more weight. Will that be a problem for the medical exam? I've been dieting since I've been back in Spain but it's only been a month and I might have my interview in another month or so. That does not give me enough time to lose the 15kg. or so that I should lose.

I would be devastated if that's an impediment to get my visa... I had a check up when I came back with my regular doctor and my gynecologist and I'm fine other than the weight.

What do you guys think?

Weight is not a problem for the visa. The medical exam is not to determine if you are healthy enough, but to make sure you don't have a contagious disease like tuberculosis.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Thanks for the quick reply! At least in Spain it says in the guides that they measure you and weight you so I thought it could be a problem... But thanks! :-) I guess I just worry too much!
