I seem to be getting mixed signals from the internet as to how safe it is to travel with AP. I would appreciate some clarification..

Background.... . AOS interview coming up at the end of the month. Got the AP (filed with AOS packet) in the mail a couple weeks ago.( EAD was not filed with AOS as I already obtained one from DACA). I am in between jobs atm and thinking of visiting family in my home country. (My hubby will be traveling for work next week and I am playing with the idea of traveling too since I have the time)... I do have concerns as there seem to be some misinformation out there about traveling with AP.... Does the 'ban' kick in even with AP? Why give AP if it's not guaranteed? Should I just wait for my GC before any sort of non US travel?

You have DACA, so I assume you have very long overstay in US.

AP is routinely approved for anyone who files the application correctly with AOS. But it is CBP that determines whether or not an alien is admissible to the US (or eligible to be paroled back in).

I would not take the risk.
