Hey everyone,

my EAD and AP are still in "initial review" on the USCIS website, it will be 90 days on the 18th of February. I called USCIS and they entered a service request, is there anything else I can do to help my process? Is an expedited request the same as a service request? I just do not understand why mine is taking so long?

I need to work, we have a newborn baby, and my husband is a paramedic. I also have 2 final exams back in Canada in April and am worried I won't have my AP in time. We also booked our delayed honeymoon for this coming September and I don't want our money to have been wasted due to the slow and inefficient services of USCIS.

I've been crying all morning because I am so stressed, anyone have any advice?

Thanks VJ's!

Kate

Did you have any RFE's during the process? If so then they pause the 90 day counter until they are accepted.

A service request is not the same as an expedite, I would suggest calling USCIS and requesting an expedite under the reason "Severe financial loss to company or individual" on the basis that you need the income to provide for your newborn.

Hey,

We did have an RFE which was accepted back in November. It was for my husbands tax information - we didn't send out the full transcript.

But on the RFE it said that it would not effect our EAD or AP.

I made an infopass appointment for February 20th, so I can find out what is going on.

Thanks
