Hi everyone,

I got a text this morning saying that the I-130 ( for my son who was petitioned by my husband ) we mailed February 4, 2014 was received by the USCIS and we were assigned a receipt #. I am just confused, we didn't receive the I-797C..the ones they sent us was the I-797, And when I check the USCIS website, it says intial review. Is the I-797 same as the NOA 2 for the k1's? sorry for asking.

Thank you!

Dhel

i797c = NOA1

i797 = NOA2 (It says "the above petition has been approved...")

Your case is still under initial review. Seems they sent the wrong form.

I dont know yet, I will have to wait for the hard copy but I am just hoping its because of our request to have the case expedited.
