    • Sometimes it feels that way, but if I want to have hot sex with my sweetheart, I better not come home empty handed.

    • Scam or not, I get the best BJ for a mere box of chocolates. I consider that a bargain.

DEAR ABBY: My husband and I have been married for 2 1/2 years. He says Valentine's Day is a made-up holiday to get people to spend money. I told him every holiday is geared toward people spending money.

I find myself feeling angry and hurt that I'm not receiving anything for Valentine's Day. He never buys cards or flowers for me. How do I communicate to him that this is important to me without making things worse? -- CRAVING A LITTLE ROMANCE

Dear Craving a Little Romance,

You need to suck it up. February 13th, February 14th, October 13th... they are all just days in the year. News flash - wasting money on dead flowers or fattening chocolate isn't romantic. It's just wasteful. Put your money in savings, go bake your husband a cake, or perhaps thrown on some sexy lingerie and enjoy his company. After all, you married him because you love him, right? Not because of what he buys for you? Hopefully you're not really that materialistic... ABBY

If the babe says not to buy her anything for Valentines don't believe her.

I find that women usually mean the opposite of what they say about 75% of the time. The other 25% is a ####### shoot.

If your woman is CABA like mine, you should just put a gun to your head and end it now.

I can say with a high level of certainty that 75% of the time yes, the no's mean yes and the headaches are merely a smokescreen. But there's always that 25% variable that could cost you your life.

I am under orders to not waste money on the usual BS this Valentine's Day because she needs a lot of new clothes and that is the only thing the money should be spent on. So she will be going shopping by herself and I will be paying the bill. Which is what always happens but THIS billing cycle we'll pretend it was for Valentine's Day.

Suck up. Get her a new broom or lawn mower. Nothing shows love like a gift she can use over and over.

I accidentally read that as

I got my wife some really nice VD.

I'm really sorry I thought that. My speed reading skills are clearly subpar. :(
