My point is--Why don't any of you get upset when Christianity is attacked by the same broad brush. The same exact statement was made about Christianity and not one peep was made,

When you are closer to Christianity it's quite obvious which views are ridiculous and which are not. I don't believe all Christians can be judged by the actions of the westboro Baptist Church for instance. Why? Because it's ridiculous. It's not something that needs to be debated - it's self evident.

It's not an issue of people wanting to relativise religions.

I judge the Catholics involved, but I do not judge Catholics that had nothing to do with it and they find it just as appalling as we do.

What statement about Christianity? I don't judge Christians as a whole. But there are plenty of them that are ignorant, just like there are plenty of Catholics that are ignorant, plenty of Islamists that are ignorant, etc. Put ANY religion in there and your statement of ignorance remains valid.

You'll find that the extreme radicals aren't holding true to their religion's values the majority of the time.

I grew up Catholic and the some of the priests I knew were some of the greatest people I have known. Thanks for generalizing them.

If the report is legit it's not an issue.

What's legit? If someone says they hate all muslims? Reporting them only guarantees you will not have any chance at calling them on their rampant racism. Its like you said, leave their posts up so we can all see who and what they are. Reports only help bigots look less like a bigot to those that didn't see their post.

I said I judge Catholicism, and by that I mean the Church as a whole, more specifically the leadership. There had to be a whole lot of compliant members and leaders to cover up such a wide spread problem.

As an example i think our current system of Government has become totally corrupt and self serving, does not mean I think all citizens are bad, just means I think most elected officials are corrupt or self serving and most citizens support them because they see them as on their side.,

I never said it is only people on the left. I report when i see total hypocrisy such as the picture of Jesus with the why or so many of my followers ignorant, not because I object, but because I know the oppsite would get someone banned.

What I would truly like is for them just to leave us alone unless it is something way out of bounds like child exploitation etc.
