My dad remarried 3years ago, now he has a daughter and wife.

My mom and dad divorced maybe 10years ago.

They always keep in touch, they all have good relationship.

Now my dad wants me to apply green card for him and my mom.

After he got a green card, he will apply green cards for his wife and daughter.

Question:

1. Since my mom came here several times with tourist visa and always go back on time. I know people came here with tourist visa and apply for green card in the US when visa holder is still in the US. I'm curious how long she will have to wait before apply for green card after she got to the US?

2. How long should he wait after he got his green card before he can apply green cards for his family?

3. What visa should he apply? F2A F2B?

4. Can I apply green cards for my divorced mom and dad at the same time?

5. How long it will take for my dad's family to get their green cards?

Thanks so much.

Why is it complicated? You bring each parent as an individual, then the parent files for other family as a LPR.

It is illegal to enter the US on a tourist visa with the intent to immigrate.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

How old where you when your dad remarried ? I assume you are a USC already. It is illegal to enter the US on a visitors visa with the intent to stay. You can file for bio parents at any time ( after you are a USC )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Thanks. I have no idea that's illigal, is there any document that I can read about this?

My dad remarried after I'm 21. Does it matter?

So you mean I need to send two different application in different mail folder? Can I apply for them together in one folder and fill up two seperate forms for them?

Thanks again.

Because you were an adult when your father remarried you can NOT file for the rest of his family , you can file for him. ( and your bio mother ) each petition needs its separate set of evidence and it's own fee as they will have their own file. Because a visitors visa is to visit it is against the purpose of the visa to come and stay. Misusing the visa ( having intent NOT to visit ) can lead to bans for lying to immigration.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
