Hi to fellow visa journey family

My sister inlaw had her interview September 22 2013 and she was waiting on her green card until February 10 2014 (today) then comes in the mail today RFE that they needed apartment in both name, she is married to a guy with felony who can get apartment in his name there fore the apartment is in my name pending when she get a job to put the apartment in her name.

Please can someone tell me how her husband being in jail affect the entire process of green card? Thanks and God bless u all

Usually USCIS will not make decisions based on the US spouses criminal history but there are exceptions like sex offender cases etc. Most likely the RFE was to ascertain a bonafide relationship and the sharing of a common residence by them rather than about her spouses criminal history.
