Hi To All,

My mom(petitioner of my f2A sister) received a checklist today for the Affidavit of Support. My mom came in the US under IR-5 Petition, and my husband was my joint sponsor that time. Currently, my mom is unemployed. She worked once but it was only a temporary contract job. The time I sent her docs to NVC her W2 for 2013 haven't arrived yet. Now, my mom was checklisted to submit a writted statement why she did not file 2012 Federal Income Tax returns. (my mom has just been in the US for 6 months) She arrived July 2013 then filed a petition to bring my sister here in the US., NVC was also asking for the 2012 IRS tax schedules, then the 2012 Federa; Income Tax returns, IRS printout or letter 1722 issued by the IRS. Also the 2012 W-2 Forms or IRS tax transcripts. Like what I have said, my mom came here in the US JUly 2013, got a contract job for 2 days in Oct 2013. And unemployed after that til the present. Please enlighten me and I will appreciate your help. Thank you so much in advance.

hi

she should have sent a letter with the i864 explaining why she didn't have to file taxes with the form, now she needs to send an explanation

she has to send the letter now

Thanks for your response. I have one last question tho, the staffing agency where I mom worked for only 2 days in October last year sent her W2 in the mail for 2013..Her income was about $80.00, and she declared it in Part 6 13A of the form. Does she need to submit the w4 for 2013 with her paystub? THanks so much again
