I called D.O.S. today because I got a case update today on the system and was very uncertain to what it could be. The interview is on Friday. We have received everything we knew we needed. When I called, the woman said they don't answer any questions about K1 visas and haven't for more than two weeks? I must call NVC for information? Will NVC be able to tell me why we received an update today?

NVC, option 3

Not sure what they can/will tell you.

The lady at DOS is correct. They quit holding your hand for a daily report. (not your specific hand...a generic "your" )

Then, I am so happy that we were ahead of that change! They truly were a great help once the petition left USCIS! I will try NVC.

Would you know of any reason why 4 days prior to interview their would be a status update?

Me? No idea and wonder why it matters. You have an interview. Go to it and get approved.

Just getting emotional and excited...I reached someone at NVC who told me it could be as simple as they loaded this weeks interviews...and stated..virtually same thing. The interview is schedule and I shouldn't worry about the update...but I could contact the embassy if I needed confirmation.

I think I'm good with that. We've had very good experiences with everyone the entire process. We are almost to the end of being seperated and the remainder of the journey will be tackled together. I know whole heartedly we couldn't have gotten through all this with out the support of VJ and the members on here.

Thank you! We will be checking in on Friday after the interview to share his experience at the Embassy!
