Timeline

Case was transferred to Nebraska on 12/04/13. I got text/email that case was approved this morning. And just a couple of minutes ago another text/ email that case now being transferred to NVC.

Our case is a little different though. The timeline that I have on here is for my stepson, not my hubby. I am going to do adjustment of status for my husband, so he will not be doing the consular processing after all. I applied for the Parole in Place waiver for military veterans, that was just amended Nov 15th last year. My husband already went to local USCIS office with initial paperwork and was scheduled 2 weeks later for biometrics appointment. Supposedly, after the background check comes back, we make another infopass appointment and will be granted I 94 card which is to be filed with his adjustment of status application like a waiver. Wish us luck. :)

I am curious about something. Hopefully someone might know better than me looking at the timelines of people being approved at NSC.

How is nebraska processing petitions????

are they keeping us in a line based on our receipt date (date of filing) or

are they keeping us in line with our transfer date?

I see two people on this thread who had transfer dates 12-04, 12-05 being approved ob 02/12, 02/11. They were late April/ early may filers.

From I saw in VJ (and believe me I spend a lot of time here), the PD date does not matter anymore.

They go by transfer date now.

I guess it makes sense since they are not going to sorte through tehm to figure out which is which.

They stack them as they arrive to the facility and they work on them like that First IN first OUT!!!

Hello to all people waiting at NSC

I called customer service today at USCIS to know about my case. After asking for a time frame as to when my case would receive a decision, she told me they are looking at files from April and since my pd is 07-11, I should wait another 2 months because as of Dec 2013, you are looking at 9 months if you are NSC.

I told her that I will very soon complete 60 days after transfer. She said it didn't matter when you were transferred as they go by the receipt date.

I have honestly stopped wasting my time visiting VJ website and calling USCIS because it doesn't look like anything is going to happen until 1 year time period, which she further concluded in the call. that is the time from when you apply to until when the intending immigrant gets a visa in hand.

I feel terrible, just wanted to share my experience with you guys.
