OK everyone, I have my interview tomorrow! Me and my fiancée have been together since we met in London in 2010 but have been apart since October 2011 (albeit with visits around every 2/3 months). Tomorrow is my interview and although I am confident everything is fine I have that inevitable jittery feeling!

So I am just going to say what I have/have done and if anyone can think/see anything I have missed please do say, but please don't be necessarily alarmist!

I have paid for the visa and am having it delivered to the Houndsditch drop-off point.

I have done the DS-160 form (obviously!) and have a print out of the confirmation page.

I have my long (with parents names) birth certificate.

I have my current and previous passport (expiry date 2023).

I have two US-sized passport photos (also UK sized if I need them).

I have the affidavit of support (x1 original signed I-134 with 6 pay stubs, letter from employer and letter from bank confirming income and savings, and the same from her mother who is our co-sponsor).

I have a number of pictures of us together just in case. I realise they don't ask for them but I also may want to show them to the interviewer.

I have my original police certificate (No Trace!).

I am taking my interview letter.

I know the embassy is located at 24 Grosvenor Square London, W1A 2LQ. My interview is at 8.00 so I plan to get there at 7.00 and have a coffee, and join the queue at about 7.30.

So, is there anything I have forgotten??

Looks good to me! I had roughly the same - they won't ask for photos but take them anyway (I did!)

Get there as early as you can. I was at Starbucks nearby at 6:45, and in the queue shortly after Gould's opened at 7:15. (Though, if my experience on Friday was anything to go by, you'll not need to go there!!)

Good luck, I'm sure you won't need it! :-)

Looks good. Now your assignment for the Team UK forum is get chatty with the line keepers. Ask--

When did you start allowing phones inside?

What about iPod players and headphones?

Thumb drives?

Keys?

:P Gather some info and report back to headquarters.

Thanks! I may not bother with Gould's as I am planning to go back home before I go to work. Although maybe paying £5 for the locker is cheaper than adding another tube journey!

But they let phones in the embassy now it was reported, so should be no need to check anything as Gould's. Take the phone in with you.

Just remember to keep calm, be relaxed, and don't go in there thinking they are trying to trip you up. The only questions they can possibly asked you are based on the files they have.

So as I tell my fiancee, as long as you remember my name is Michael, I'm an Engineer in Arkansas, with no siblings and basic other family information, she'll be fine.

If she tells them I'm a weatherman in Alaska with 10 brothers, well she might fail....:P

You'll be fine :)
