VJ Family,

The AOS and EAD paperwork is signed, sealed, and delivered. Thank goodness!!! It feels good to be one more step closer to ending this fee driven, paper generating, life validating madhouse that we're in... We have not gotten the Td (vaccination) shot that is not available in the Philippines, but required for the AOS yet. Therefore, we are anticipating a RFE for that but otherwise, we are all good.

I want to thank VJ and everyone again for all the threads, posts, questions, leasons learned, and support.

I know what you mean. I felt so good after sending my AOS packet. Like, at least, it's out of my hands now and whatever happens, I'll just have to deal with it.

With the recent activity, are there any other leasons learned to share. By the by, USCIS just cashed our checks so I know the paperwork has arrived safe and sound, but we did not receive the delivery notification. That's odd...

Don't worry about it. It takes them a few days to send your applications over to the MSC. My check was cashed 2 days before I received the NOA.

What's funny is that when I arrived home the delivery notice and the NOA1s for the AOS and EAD were there waiting. SWEET!!!

Why on earth would you not wait to get it done before sending the packet? :huh:

An RFE will only slow you down. Doesn't make much sense, especially since you were asking for tips over in this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44315

I believe the #1 tip would be to send a complete packet so you do not get RFEs!

I just sent our AOS and EAD on the 8th and it was delivered on the 11th....now we're waiting on the NOA1...hope things go fast for you Uling. Looks like you're just ahead of us.

Very good point and very true! Based on our situation, it was an executive decision and the correct decison to push forward. But again yes, sending a completed package is the #1 tip to avoid RFEs!

Everything is flowing pretty smoothly. The biometrics is done and was extremely painless. We're awaiting the verdict on the EAD and the AOS interview is scheduled for 21 Mar 07. The TD shot has been taken and we have the I-693A from the Civil Surgeon in our back pocket. I've contacted our congresswoman's office to inquire just to keep our case fresh and in hopes that our case get's approved without an interview like some of our fellow members. If not, we'll go to the interview and get approved anyway. No worries and, by the by, no RFE(s) to date. Take care... Cheers!!!
