How long did it take you to recieve your ssn?

Hello all, She applied for it about 7 weeks ago, they initially said it would take 4. She called and they said immigration hasn't pushed it through yet. Is this just a case of the system being backed up(what else is new) or is something wrong? Thank you in advance.

If you haven't received it within two weeks then the holdup is at DHS with their verification of the documents you presented to the SSA.

My wife received hers in less than a week using her EAD and passport. There must be an issue with DHS verification like others have said.

12/24/2013 Case placed in RFE Review status
01/16/2014 EAD in document production
01/21/2014 EAD mailed out
