I-131 Advance Parole, need advice

yeah. if you leave before you get the AP, your application will be deemed abandoned and will be denied and trust me, it will be a bit of a hassle for her to come back to the US unless you want to go through the whole process of filing the K-1 visa again. I believe whatever the problem is, she can find someone - probably a lawyer or someone of the sort - to handle issues out there. The plane ticket money might even be used in cutting off some of the cost..I just feel like it will be worth it, having the AOS and advance parole sorted out first before she goes, if she still has to.

Lawyers are so cheap in Colombia, he'll probably pay US$150 max to deal with this issue. Not even joking.

juanchopancho, please consider this seriously. It's not that hard to find a good lawyer in Colombia and even the best will not charge you a lot.

They are married. They cannot/would not file for another K-1 visa. They would need to get a CR-1 spousal visa if she was to leave without AP or her green card first.
