hi

there is no form i551

that's the stamp in your passport that's for 1 year until you get your GC

you paid for the GC, until not too long ago the card was for free for those going through consular processing, but now they charge you to get the physical GC

once you enter the US, the i551 stamp will be useful for travel and work until you get the card, if you don't pay, no card

did you get some sort of confirmation of payment and print it out?

Dear I thank you. I have only got a confirmation for payment receipt. When I check its still saying status pending . BTW are they going to give the stamp on my arrival or in advance?

Thanks again :)

The I-551 is the green card.

The stamp received in the passport after arriving on the immigrant visa is a temporary 1 year I-551 green card.

What you paid $165 for is the physical I-551 green card that will come through the mail.

Are you saying they will issue the stamp on arrival??? or once I entered US? How is they mail you then? Please need a bit elaborated

Thank you again.

What will happen is at your POE the CBP will stamp your passport and the stamp will be your temp I-551 until you get your Green Card (GC) in the mail.

Thank you again.

When you use the immigration visa to enter the US, CBP will stamp the visa and that stamped visa will serve as a temporary I-551 green card good for 1 year. A few weeks after you enter, you would get the regular plastic green card (if you pay the $165) in the mail.
