Stressing big style interview on Tuesday - I-134

Hi Guys,

I have my interview in London on Tuesday. I have all the documents together, but I'm stressing about the I-134 form. Does it have to be notarised?

I have my step mothers 1040, bank statement and signed employment letter (by a registered nurse director, because she is a nurse). However, the actual form is not notarised. I'm not sure if it has to be or not?

Can anyone who has been to the interview shed any light on this?

They stopped asking for notarization of I-134 and I-864 sometime in 2006 I believe. You have nothing to worry about.

Read page 1 of the I-34 instructions again---

If you are sponsoring more than one alien, you must submit a separate Form I-134 for each alien.

Form I-134 must be signed in your full name. (Note: Signing Form I-134 is under penalty of perjury under U.S. law). For this reason, it is not necessary to sign Form I-134 before a notary, nor to have your signature notarized after you sign it.

One last question, does the 1040 have to be notarised?

Actually the embassy prefers IRS tax transcripts which now can be obtained online and printed.

If submitting a copy of filed taxes (1040) you have to include all schedules and W-2s. No need to notarize.

Actually, London doesn't prefer transcripts. They don't even require the tax return at all if there is other proof like an employer letter. But yes, if using a 1040 and all the schedules, it should have a W2 to go with it. Or use a transcript instead.

I have my interview on Thursday and I have tax transcripts, W-2 AND an employment letter so I have every base covered just incase, I too am stressing but I'm an anxious person in general so I can't help it, you'll be fine though honestly!
