Evidence Income meet Poverty Guidelines for AOS

Hi Folks,

I have been living in US for 1 year of 2013. I began to work in last 2 months of 2013. So In 2013 My federal tax return is not enough to meet Poverty Guidelines. But my salary is higher than Poverty Guidelines. So what i have to do for now? and i don't have any joint sponsor.

I have letter of company to prove my annual income is higher than Poverty Guidelines and my job is stable and i also includes two pay slips for two months that i worked and one new pay slips for 2014.

Do you think it is a best way for me to do now? Hope to receive any suggestion from everyone. Because i think National Visa Center will not accept my evidence

Although what you have is a bit thin I wouldn't worry about it - you only just arrived in the US so it's impossible to expect more. You have an employment letter and pay stubs. I am assuming you do not have sizable assets that can be used as a partial offset to income. From the sounds of it you have done all you can do (you could not obtain a co-sponsor).

My advice is to be confident in what you have...assuming everything else is in order I don't see an issue. In any event you will have done all you can do...best of luck.

Best thing to do is to get a joint sponsor. Maybe a friend, relative, company manager etc. that will accept the obligation of a sponsor.

OP could not get a co-sponsor.

OP if you get an RFE from NVC send a letter explaining the circumstances, as well as any new stubs.

The only other option is to wait...research how long NVC allows you to send your materials, including 864. I know it's not preferable but if needed you could wait until a year from now when you can file 2014 taxes.

All you can do is what you are doing...work...submit...wait.

Im in exactly the same situation. Arrived to US in last few months of 2013. I worked for last month of 2013 only, so there is no way I will meet poverty line. But I have contract for a whole year and make good few thousands more than I need for meeting 125% of poverty line. So do you think pay stubs and letter from work is enough ?

That is all things we have now. Did you try to call NVC and ask about this ? I have tried to call NVC many times but the line is always busy. Do you have yahoo or gmail? We can discuss together. My yahoo is genius2311
